“Her voice is a revelation, and I found myself listening and relistening”
- Jason Davidson, Americana Highways
Born in Oregon to an Irish American musician father, Brianna started playing and singing when she was five years old. She has studied music in places as far flung as Tanzania and India as well as traditional western contexts, and was classically trained on piano and voice as a child. In her twenties she picked up the guitar and started writing songs. After a decade of recording and touring under the moniker Pretend Sweethearts with her musical partner and husband, she is embarking on her solo adventure. This new sound is a departure from the Americana of her musical past, drawing on grunge, electronica and of course Celtic folk.
